Jardín del Duende is situated nearby Sedella (700 inh.), a village in the Axarquía. This green fertile region lies in the eastern part of Málaga province, a relative unknown area of Andalucía. The scenery is beautiful and varied.
The mountainous surrounding and the vicinity of the sea provide a micro climate with many sun hours. It forms the basis for a special flora and fauna, and lots of olive- and almond trees. The Maroma (2069 m), which dominates scenery, is the highest summit of the mountain range Parque Natural Sierra Tejada y Almijara. A true paradise for walkers and nature lovers.

To arrive at Jardín del Duende you follow a part of the "Ruta del Mudéjar", an old moorish mountain route. This winding road leads you along the Parc Natural to the "pueblos blancos" Canillas de Aceituno, Sedella and Salares.

In the villages you will find simple shops, bars and restaurants. Close by you will find a biological local wine producing Bodega. For supermarkets you have to go to Vélez-Málaga, a bigger town, down in the valley.

Torre del Mar (40 min.) is the nearest village at the sea side, with shops, different 'chiringuitos' and a beach club for water sport.
Caleta de Vélez, the neighbouring village, has a marina and a fishing fleet.

Car necessary.
Málaga-airport 1.15 hour.
